2017 Mazda MX-5 Hits the U.S. Showrooms This Month

The new MX-5 will be available to buyers across the U.S. from February and Mazda made some minor equipment changes. Even though the model was in no need for changes, USA division of the company decided to include Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert in Club models as standard.

The 2017 model will bear the MSRP base price of $24,915 and will be available in several trim levels: Sport, Grand Touring and Club.

2017 Mazda MX-5 Features

Entry-level Sport model features black cloth seats, leather-wrapped shifter and handbrake, LED headlights and taillights, 16-inch bright finish alloy wheels and cruise control.

If you are not looking for a budget buy and entry level model, we suggest you check out the Club model which features a limited-slip differential, shock tower brace on manual-equipped models, front aerodynamic lip and Bilstein suspension. The Brembo/BBS package is also available to buyers with which they would equip this vehicle with the side still extensions, front Brembo brakes, and forged BBS alloy wheels.

If you are looking for a more luxurious version, the MX-5 Grand Touring is a way to go. This trim level has leather heated seats, additional sound deadening in the soft top, automatic headlights with High Beam Control and many other great features.

The version of 2017 Mazda MX-5 that is intended for the North American market will run on a 2.0-liter Skyactiv-G engine which is good for 155 horsepower. As a standard on this vehicle, we will have a six-speed manual transmission. The optional six-speed automatic transmission will cost you additional $1,200 to $1,400 depending on the trim.
