Honda’s midsize pickup was introduced last year and made a good impression. It was absent from the market for a few years, and when it came back, it was welcomed by customers and car lovers alike. Being only one year old you shouldn’t expect any significant changes with 2018 Honda Ridgeline. The Japanese manufacturer, as you probably know it, has an informal policy which clearly says that they won’t make any difference until mid-cycle refresh. For a slight update, we will just have to wait one or two more years.
2018 Ridgeline Changes
That’s why with 2018 MY of Ridgeline you won’t see anything new on the pickup. We will go as far to say that this model will be absolutely the same as the current one. The 2017 Ridgeline is described as a Pilot with a truck bed, and this looks will carry onto the next year. The bed was the thing that made this model unique with a tailgate that can be opened from the back like on the most trucks but also has a side access.
Moving to the interior part, there also won’t be any changes. The lack of changes in this segment of the truck is not a bad thing because Ridgeline has modern and comfortable cabin worthy of any car. It has high-end materials used for seats and dashboard alike and state of the art infotainment system. Here, we would like to leave a possibility of small upgrades on display cluster, but this was not confirmed by the Japan-based company.
2018 Honda Ridgeline Specs
Honda offers its midsize pickup with only one engine option, and that won’t change with 2018 Honda Ridgeline. The truth is there is no need to change anything or even to add another unit to the mix as what we have atm is a good choice. The current Ridgeline powertrain is a 3.5-liter V-6 mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. This mill is capable of making 280 horsepower and 263 lb-ft of torque. That makes Ridgeline go 0-60 mph in 6.6 seconds with a maximum speed of 112mph.
