The asymmetric architecture of the DS X E-Tense provides a distinct ambient. The driver, alone or accompanied, becomes a passenger once he climbs into the cocoon. This asymmetric layout offers an amazing new type of interior space under the clear glass canopy, with the passenger enclosed in a marvelous capsule, sitting in a massaging and ventilated seat. Traveling using the autonomous mode presents an exceptional experience as more senses than just that of touch come into play, like the hi-fidelity soundbar that forms the dashboard of the car.
The floor is made of an electro-chromatic, see-through glass. It provides a view of the road itself as it flashes beneath the car, while the interior’s lavish blend of metal, leather, and wood draws the eyes and eases the mind. The intriguing combination of rich red and navy blue hues softens the light entering the car. The fluidity of the lines is intensified by the lack of screens, while the glazed surfaces of the dashboard fill the role of a tablet display.
The passenger is safe in a protective environment, including filtered and scented air that shows exquisite refinement, as they are blown away by the driver in the cockpit, or by the car in the autopilot mode. An additional seat option makes it possible to travel in a group of three.
In addition to its connection with the outside world, a personal assistant in the form of a hologram, IRIS, tends to the vehicle’s functions and the needs of its passengers.
