2017 Geneva Motor Show Preview – What to Hope For?

PAGANI HUAYRA ROADSTER

When we speak about car shows in Europe, one of the names that instantly pops out would be related to one held in Geneva, Switzerland. It regularly houses many revelations, and it is one of the most important auto shows in the world. It dates back to 1905 when it entertained 13,000 visitors, which grown to approximately 700,000 visitors in these years. It is going to be held between 9th and 19th March this year, so let’s see what is waiting for us there.

TECHRULES GT86

It’s a hypercar presented as a concept last year in Geneva, and this time it will materialize at the same spot. Over 1,000 hp from hybrid powertrain, 0-60 time of 2.5 seconds and a top speed of 217 mph, will make it associate with Chiron, Agera, LaFerrari and similar bunch.

JAGUAR XF SPORTBRAKE

We saw Jag estate with the first generation of XF, it sold slowly and then it disappeared. Anyway, it’s back for a second chance, and that handsome, sleek body might do something better than the old one did.

TOYOTA YARIS GAZOO

Hot Yaris is back, and it will be hotter than ever. WRC racing version is going to be tamed for public roads, hence the Gazoo part of the name and anticipate as much as 220 hp in city car package.

RENAULT ALPINE A120

Long waited for, the resurrection of proper French sports car. Mid-engined, light weight and in close resemblance with 1961 A110 gorgeous legend. Concept showed us the looks rest is set for Geneva.

BMW M4

3 Series has just been facelifted, so 4 Series must follow too. As with BMW, nip here and tuck there, but an undeniable always visible dash of freshness. More precisely, new lights configuration and power bump at some places.

DAVID BROWN SPEED BACK GT

Handbuild Jaguar XKR in totally retro shape. Adorable! Apart from that $750,000 price tag.

BMW 5 SERIES TOURING

The sedan was revealed, and it’s wagon time. Bigger boot, but also a sleeker body. The undebatably most handsome executive estate that ever rolled out from BMW’s assembly lines.

VOLKSWAGEN ARTEON

It was Passat CC first, then it became just CC, and now it will be Arteon.

BLACK CUILLIN

Morgan will get a proper rival, as retro doesn’t seem to fade. Only one teaser so far, not saying much, so prepare for Geneva to find out the rest.

ALFA ROMEO GIULIA SPRINT

Giulia with two doors less. As the wagon is out of the picture coupe is not and don’t worry it will also come with clover stickers.

LEXUS LS

Game changer, for Lexus and for the whole segment. Handsome as Maserati Quattroporte, reliable as Toyota and full of tech as Mercedes S-Class, in short- perfect!

RANGE ROVER VELAR

Still many mysteries, but British take on BMW X4 and Mercedes GLC Coupe. Or it will be X6 and GLE Coupe? Geneva will tell.

AUDI RS Q8

We didn’t have the chance to taste Audi’s Q8 model yet, but Germans have already shown us how its fiery side will look like. When it happens, don’t expect it to go bellow 605 hp.

ZENVO TS1 ANNIVERSARY EDITION

Zenvo is celebrating the 10th anniversary, and a special edition of TS1 monster is expected. By the way, regular TS1 goes over 1,100 hp and a top speed above 230 mph, as that was not enough.

New kid on the block and first hypercar from Singapore. It comes as a concept first and if Croatia could do it, so could Singapore.

PININFARINA H600 ECO LUXURY SEDAN

Italian view of Tesla Model S, but with revolution under the hood. Not much is known, but this sedan should use almost all that you can get- petrol, natural gas, and electricity altogether.

KOENIGSEGG AGERA RS AND REGERA

Agera R got beefed up with RS version, while Regera should show itself as a production model.

PORSCHE 991.2 GT3

Facelift for most track oriented Carrera in the lineup. Expect around 500 hp from new 4.0-liter flat six and manual shifter that is back.

MERCEDES AMG E63 ESTATE

Sedan got its debut last year, and now 612 hp powered wagon gets its 5 minutes of fame. 640 liters of cargo space and 3.5 seconds to 60 mph. What boundary is left to be broken?

MERCEDES MAYBACH G650 LANDAULET

First Maybach SUV and no, it’s not GLS. G-Class got there first, and we bet the Middle East is in delirium right now.

ASTON MARTIN VANQUISH S VOLANTE

Last year Vanquish coupe got its upgrade with S model, and now topless version is going to get their’s, so naturally aspirated V12 and 600 hp will be housed under Geneva’s roof.

LAMBORGHINI HURACAN PERFORMANTE

Meaner than the beast itself. Introducing ALA to the world.

MCLAREN 720 S

720 S is about to replace dated 650 S which was more of a facelift of MP-4 12C. It will use new carbon fiber Monocage II body structure, and we can’t wait to taste it.

PAGANI HUAYRA ROADSTER

Huayra is about to lose its top and become drop dead gorgeous. Though it’s not just about that, as rumor says that more tweaks are expected.

FERRARI F12M

Revision for F12 Berlinetta which might get some stuff from remarkable TDF model.
