Tokyo Auto Salon is coming up next month, and the Japanese automaker decided to unveil sportier versions of the 2017 Mazda CX-5 which has not been out yet, and Mazda CX-3 that has a great selling rate.
This week, Mazda has introduced two different versions of MX-5, one of which also got the ‘Custom Style’ treatment like the CX-3 and CX-5. The new sporty look includes a subtle body kit and huge alloy wheels all in order to achieve a premium expression.
2017 Mazda CX-5 and CX-3 Features
The new CX-5 that was unveiled a month ago looks great even without the makeover, and Japanese car maker wanted to go a step further and introduce the Custom Style model, so the new vehicle now features 20-inch alloy wheels, a more aggressive rear bumper, small lip on the front bumper and side skirts. Mazda CX-5 and CX-9 share the same wheels.
The new sportier version of the CX-5 has a suspension that is height-adjustable, aluminum pedals, black-painted brake calipers, special floor mats and illuminated door sill plates. The 2.5-liter turbo engine still won’t be available as an option for this model.
The other vehicle that also got transformed is the CX-3. Mazda changed these two cars in almost the same way, and it seems that the CX-3 will greatly benefit from these sporty additions.
Even though we do not know the size of the new alloy wheels, we do know that the transformed CX-3 will have the same cabin additions as the CX-5. Also, this version of CX-3 will have black brake calipers and a sporty body kit.
