Alfa Romeo Stelvio

The base Alfa Romeo Stelvio model was introduced, and the exclusive ‘First Edition’ and the Qaudrifoglio are yet to come. Three trim levels are on offer for the SUV including the regular Stelvio, the Stelvio Super, and the Stelvio Tecnica.

The base model will have a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol good for 280 horsepower, and as an option, there is the 2.2-liter diesel with 210 hp. The vehicle features an 8-speed automatic gearbox and Q4 AWD.

The entry level Stelvio prepared for the UK brings 17-inch alloy wheels, an 8.8” display, 8-speaker audio system, Alfa’s D.N.A., a rotary selector, black fabric seats, Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Warning with Autonomous Emergency Brake, pedestrian detection, and Integrated Brake System. The next trim is the Stelvio Super which features 18-inch wheels and techno-leather and fabric seats which include several color options- black, black/brown and black/red. You can also choose between three options for the dashboard and door panels to match colors with the seats.

Also available are the Luxury Pack and Sports Pack that are additional. The Luxury Pack features full grain leather seats (black, brown, red or beige), electrical adjustment and heating along with real wood elements. The second package includes heated sports steering wheel, aluminum elements, steel pedals and racing-style leather seats (black, red or brown).

The most luxurious version is the Stelvio Tecnica which has a 2.2-liter diesel and 8.8-inch Alfa Connect 3D Nav which is also functioning without a GPS signal thanks to Dead Reckoning technology. This model is called Business in other markets and also packs Bi-Xenon headlights with AFS and electric folding mirrors.

There are many things vailable as options, and those include four tweeters, a 10-speaker system with four woofers, a mid-range and a subwoofer in the boot. Other than that, your Stelvio can also be equipped with a 14-speaker Harman Kardon system with four woofers, four tweeters, five mid-ranges and a subwoofer.

The Stelvio can reach 62 mph (100kmh) from a standstill in 6.6 seconds when equipped with 2.0-liter diesel unit, while the 2.0-liter turbo petrol unit is capable of reducing that time to 5.7 seconds. Handling and driving experience is improved by a 50/50 weight distribution while Stelvio’s “rapid and accurate steering” is achieved through the new double wishbone suspension and semi-virtual steering axis.

During everyday drives, the vehicle will have a rear-wheel drive thanks to the Q4 all-wheel drive system. In harder conditions, when less grip is available, the system will distribute up to 50% of torque to the front axle which will enable the model to have the best-in-class control when it comes to traction and directional stability, as Alfa Romeo claims.

The starting price for the UK Stelvio is still unknown.
