A very old and also really useful trick is to let nature handle the damage it caused. When it’s hailing, your car’s paint might get damaged by it, so fixing all of the small dents can be very nerve-racking if you want to do it one by one. It’s not even possible to find all of them and fix them one by one, even if you wanted to, so take a look at the following trick that’s very common amongst car enthusiasts.
When the summer comes, and the temperatures start reaching unbearable amounts on the thermometer, leave your car outside, completely exposed to the sun. Why? Because as we all know already, materials tend to expand when exposed to heat, so after leaving your vehicle in the sun for an entire day, all the dents will start popping back out.
You should apply dry ice with a pair of gloves to the heated areas as the final step. If you notice improvement but it is not perfect yet, repeat everything the next day.
This works well and you will most likely be surprised with the results. If it doesn’t work the first day, try it all over again a couple of more days afterward. Remember that this entirely depends on the temperature in the area that you live in, so if you are located in a colder area, this might not be the optimal way of fixing the dents.

Create the heat yourself
We already mentioned that if you live in a colder area, the trick with the sun-exposure is not going to work. Well, thankfully we have the technology and home appliances which can help us create the heat all by ourselves.
There are numerous ways of doing this, but we assume that everybody has a hairdryer at home, so we decided to use that item. Here’s what you need to do.
Get close to your vehicle and find the first dent that you’re trying to fix. Turn on the heater and put it close to the damaged area, but remember not to be way too close, and don’t touch it directly on the vehicle. Keep a bit closer distance than you do when you’re drying your hair.
Spend like a minute and a half heating one area, and then move to another one. If needed, repeat this process multiple times, but don’t heat one place more than two minutes without stopping. If you overheat it, the paint can start falling off, and you will have to use wax to restore it, which is creating another unnecessary problem.
After you’re done heating one area, use ice or any other item that comes on your mind which can drastically switch the temperature of the dented place from hot to cold.
A dent-repair Kit
People often come up with solutions for their modern-day problems, so don’t be surprised if you find multiple types of dent-removal kits in your nearest supermarket.
These kits don’t cost a lot of money, but they can give you amazing results. In just a few minutes, you can pull out all of the dents and completely restore the look of your vehicle.
However, if your car is damaged from severe hail, you might not be able to fix every little area, so professional help might still be required. Other than that, dent kits are fairly easy to use, but you won’t be able to find the ones that professionals use in their workshops, or you will, but they’ll cost a lot of money to purchase.
Suction method dent-remover
There are special dent-removing items that use the power of suction to pull back the damaged material outwards, potentially fixing the issue. They might not be the most effective method available on the market, but they are great for a start, and you can use them as the first step before trying any other measures.
They are inexpensive and easy to use, but their size sometimes won’t match your needs, meaning that you’ll still have to use some of the other methods we recommended above.

Last but not least, we have our final method for covering up the damage caused by the hail, but this one doesn’t completely fix the problem, so it’s a great way to “mask things out” until you reach your destination, such as a car repair shop.
These markers come in many colors, and you will most likely be able to find one that comes in the same one as your car. They are not expensive to purchase, and all you have to do is draw a line over the damaged area. If your vehicle is scratched, this can be an amazing fix.
