3. Pagani Zonda
When Pagani was established, people expected the company to declare bankruptcy in the upcoming year or so. However, the company executives obviously had other planes. Horacio Pagani, the founder of the company, joined forces with F1 champion Juan Manuel Fangio in order to develop the new car, but he also made a deal with AMG, intended to supply the M120 V12 engines. As the result of the cooperation, the Zonda was born. It is one of the most insane supercars ever, and when the Zonda R was introduced, it recorded 6:47 lap time at the Nordschleife. Just for comparison, Ferrari and Lamborghini tried to go under seven minutes for a long time, but their efforts continuously failed.
