The upcoming 2018 Audi RS 3 sedan, at least a prototype model, has been spotted during testing at the Nürburgring. That means we have some spy shots to share with you.
Design – Exterior, Interior
Here’s what we know so far about the 2018 Audi RS 3 sedan. It will be different than the current RS 3 Sportback model, meaning that it will bear various exterior changes. It’ll be wider than the S3, receive brand-new headlights, oval exhaust pipes, modified front grille with larger intakes… Inside, it should come with an optional virtual cockpit and shell seats.
Engine and Performance
The 2018 Audi RS 3 is said to be equipped with a new aluminum block 2.5L I-5 petrol engine that will be able to produce more than 400 horsepower. This engine will be paired with a 7-speed S-Tronic transmission and all-wheel drive.
Release Date, Competition
When it goes on sale sometime in late 2017, most likely in August, it will be a direct competition to Mercedes-AMG CLA45, Ford Focus RS, BMW M2 and Subaru WRX STI. Our best guess is that the starting price will be around $55,000-$60,000.
