Porsche has announced that they are preparing significantly revised 911 RSR racer for the 2017 season. This car competes in the World Endurance Championship and United Sportscar Championship.
Porsche has released several pictures of the 911 RSR on the test track, which is located in the Porsche development center in Weissach in Germany. It should be mentioned that the company is planning tests at several tracks around the world.
The sleek 911 RSR is characterized by a certain visual change, but so far we have no details on what kind of mechanical changes have been made compared with the current version.
The Porsche 911 RSR is powered by a 4.0-liter six-cylinder engine combined with a sequential transmission, and this will not change. What we still do not know is if there will be changes and tweaks to this unit.
The first race for 2017 Porsche 911 RSR will be the Rolex 24 at Daytona (January 2017), this is also the first race in 2017 United Sportscar Championship.
