19. Ford Model T – Tin Lizzie
Everyone is familiar with the Ford Model T, but the iconic vehicle came with the nickname of Tin Lizzie. It is one of the first nicknames in the car industry, which is obvious. According to the story, the name originated in 1922 when an ugly race car based on Model T and named Old Liz appeared, soon after that, people nicknamed it Tin Lizzie. The car won the race, and the name remained.
