A paparazzi managed to take some shots of the 2018 Lamborghini Huracán Superleggera, an improved variant of the popular supercar, during its road testing on the race track. We got those spy shots for you, as well as the latest details and rumors.
Design Changes
The 2018 Lamborghini Huracán Superleggera is said to be much lighter than its predecessors. It means the car will receive various weight-reducing modifications and tweaks, such as increased use of carbon fiber. In the spy photos below you can notice changes of the front bumper and new exhaust system with large tips on the back. There’s also a large rear wing that should improve aerodynamics.
Engine, Performance
The 2018 Lamborghini Huracán Superleggera will most likely receive performance upgrades. The standard LP 610-4 version comes with a 601-hp V-10 engine, so this new Superleggera model could be powered by a more powerful 5.2 L V-10 engine that can be found in the LP 620-2 Super Trofeo supercar. That unit delivers up to 620 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque. Also, expect the return of a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Release Date
The 2018 Lamborghini Huracán Superleggera is said to be released on the market in the beginning of 2017. The price could reach more than $250,000. We will know more details in the upcoming months.
