2017 BMW M2 – M for Magnificent

In the past year, there were more than dozen models presented through the world that attracted worldwide media attention and one of those that was under the spotlight was the 2017 BMW M2. There are many reasons for why was this the case, and one of the most important is that new M2 is an actual BMW sports car and one that deservedly carries an M badge. In today’s surroundings where German company sells more SUVs and crossovers than it does sports vehicles BMW M2 2017 is a pure refreshment.

This is a new car without a real 2-Series predecessor. The vehicle that was anything close to the current M2 model is BMW 1-Series Coupe. With emerging need of small sports coupe with an outstanding performance, the M2 was born. With its birth came aggressive look. It looks were borrowed from M235i and pushed on a new level of menace. Grille is positioned lower and with fog-lights in more angular shape the front end signals just what hides under the hood. On the side, the changes are more profound.

Exterior and Interior design of BMW M2 2017

The line that goes from front to the end on regular 2-Series reaches only the half of the length of the M2. From the end of doors start wider rear end with a character of its own. The wide stance allows BMW M2 2017 model easily to incorporate 20-inch rear wheels. At the back, you won’t be able to miss four large exhaust pipes standing in two pairs on both sides. Additionally, the trunk lid is smaller with an embedded spoiler at the top.

On the inside, the changes follow the exterior. Nothing is bellow acceptable, but it also doesn’t go as high as it could. The conclusion is that when you are sitting in new M2 you sit in a real sports car and that is the most important thing. Everything inside the cabin screams M. The M badge is put on everything imaginable from the steering wheel to the door sills. Interior in the most part is done with refinement and quality. Carbon-fiber parts together with Alcantara pieces give you at least a bit of that BMW Premium feel.
